While parting ways Kirkland attempted to empty the business account leaving all the sales consultants without pay who worked for the company. By November of 2017 Kirkland’s relationship with his installer was falling apart and Kirkland decided he would try his becoming a solar installer himself. One couple from Yuma Az who worked for Kirkland claim Kirkland came to them asking to barrow more than 50,000.00 to secure two new trucks that he needed to get his new Repower franchise up and operating. Another source who knew Kirkland’s other sales reps claims Kirkland also went to other sales reps asking to barrow 100,000.00 for the same two trucks. At the time the other sales reps didn’t know Kirkland was playing both of them and the second sales rep loaned Kirkland the 100,000.00 after being promised an over ride on the company profits but not knowing he’d already borrowed money from other reps fir the same thing . Kirkland claimed he needed 50,000 for the trucks, 30,000 for the franchise fee and 20,000 for operational costs.
